Objective:

Turn an older-traditional into a modern commercial building for Canopy Credit Union with a space for a coffee shop (Ladder Coffee). Full site re-work, abandon old septic tanks and drain fields, tie into county sewer line, and build a new truss system on top of existing building for the new look.

Trial:

Existing Masonry Shear walls were to be demolished and new 3x wood shear walls built in their place. Many RFI’s and special inspections later we shored up the original building and built the new truss system.

Subcontractor Shout Out:

Faber built and installed all cabinets, tops, bars, and wood accents to go with the clean modern-industrial design. MJM performed all the sitework, Black Diamond Asphalt executed an asphalt overlay over the entire site and Jim Johnson re-poured all curbs, islands and sidewalks.

Final:

This project was a design-build with HDG Architecture, Timber, and Canopy Credit Union. We worked together to provide the design and function desired. We are grateful for our relationship with Canopy Credit Union and HDG.
